How to Fix a Braces Wire That Popped Out of the Back Tube
A Simple At-Home Emergency Fix Using Tweezers
The Short Answer
If your wire has slipped out of the back tube, you can fix it at home. Sanitize a pair of tweezers, pull your cheek back, and gently guide the wire back into the slot on the back bracket.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Grab your tweezers: Make sure they are clean!
- Pull your cheek back: You need a clear view of the back tooth.
- Guide the wire: Grip the wire near the end and aim for the small hole (tube) on the bracket.
- Push it through: Once the tip is in, slide it back until it feels secure.
